Born in Savannah, Georgia, April 30, 1986 to Ronald S. and Mary Agron, Dianna was raised in  San Francisco. Her father's family is originally from Russia, and their original surname, "Agronsky", was altered byEllis Island officials. Agron's father is Jewish and her mother converted to Judaism. Agron had a bat mitzvah. Agron spent her high school years attending Burlingame High School in California She has been dancing since the age of three, and as a teenager she began teaching it
